I was somewhere in the astral (really gotta get myself a map), when I came across this old English pub.

Well, to cut a long out-of-body experience short, after enjoying the hospitality of the local inhabitants, I started doing my thing… you know, facilitating;-)

Soon, I had the whole damn place in a ruckus… for some, it was illuminating (one woman put her astral phone number in my hand and told me to call her), and for others, well, let’s just say I wasn’t going to hang around to get myself lynched;-)

Don’t kid yourself folks… the illusions are just as grand in the next worlds – and amnesia is just as widespread.

Nevertheless, to paraphrase the late great Robert Monroe… nothing like a variable;-)

A good reminder for me to take my own advice came up in the form of butter. Yes, you heard that correctly. Butter!

For years, I’ve been a great buttery snob, always putting my nose up at butter substitutes, such as, vegetable spreads. Well, after all these years, I only just bothered to check the ingredients list of my beloved golden churn of choice. And to my horror, I found it contained almost 30% vegetable fat!!!!!

All these years I’ve been living in a butter bubble, taken in by taste, never bothering to look beyond my easily fooled palate of physical senses to discover the REAL truth.

Well. I’ve learned. And now, I’m savouring the taste of greater truth with my NEW brand of 100% butter!

Don’t settle for lesser truths. Do some serious self enquiry today… and savour the taste of greater truths.

Does this predestination negate free will or do we use our freedom to choose at the soul level to plan the life activity that will create the “causes” and “effects” (yes, a deliberate and defiant poke at karma;-) necessary for achieving a successful run in the physical time-space illusion that is Earth? And do we actively use an intuitive form of free will, while incarnate, to help us navigate our way around potential variables and “accidents” that divert us from our predetermined paths?

Do destiny and free will both serve valid roles in helping bring about what’s best for our greatest good and the greatest good of all?

Very deep questions that usually provoke emotional, sometimes angry, fear based responses, from people who attend my talks and seminars…

“Why would someone CHOOSE a life of evil and doing bad things?”… “why would a mother CHOOSE to lose her child at birth?”… “why would Hitler CHOOSE to murder millions of innocent men, women and children?”

The simple answer is, we don’t, what we do choose is to unconditionally provide the life experiences, whether you label them “good”, “bad”, “evil”, “beautiful” etc, that will enable others to experience the full spectrum of human experiences and the full range of emotions engendered.

It’s not the mother who solely CHOOSES to have the experience of losing a child at birth… another soul has unconditionally agreed to give of itself in service, so the mother, and others, like the father, siblings, midwives, doctors etc, can experience the emotions and feelings that will enable them to grow, develop, mature and evolve spiritually (don’t kid yourself – everyone involved has given permission, at a deeper level of being, to share in this experience)!

The Universe is far more dynamic and interesting than the limited picture painted by science, religion and society.

So many times I hear spiritually minded people talk about how we’re one energy… the Universe… Creation… God… one energy field…

If you too believe that we are all one then does it really matter if the human learning system has set rules that involve predetermined events or a free (will) for all… regardless of the semantics, this one energy field which is us, is learning about itself!

It’s just our current limited perspective from within the system doesn’t allow us the clarity to see the perfection of the design… nevertheless, on some level of consciousness – we ARE aware!

Right, well, down from my soap box I come, because you don’t even want me to get started on how much I’m grateful to the Illuminati for playing their role in this amazing Earth-Life-System;-)

This time last year I was self-employed running my own successful Web consultancy business. Then, out of nowhere, I had a sudden intuition that I needed to write a book, but after writing part of the first chapter, I had a strong feeling I might have misinterpreted the intuition… at which point I stopped writing. Then, a few weeks later, I suddenly had a powerful urge to organise and facilitate a seminar on consciousness… less than one month later, I’d organised and facilitated a workshop on dreaming and lucid dreaming with 24 people in attendance.

And here I am one year on, giving regular talks, seminars and workshops throughout the UK and Internationally on subjects that just a year ago, were no more than personal interests I’d been practising as an individual.

By trusting and acting on my intuitions, I’m not just doing something I’m passionate about – I’m doing what I was born to do!

Trust and act on your intuitions – and you too will soon be doing what you were born to do.

Below is the incomplete first chapter of my book – ‘Journey of Illusions’… perhaps one day I’ll pick up on this journey where I left off:-)

Dusk was slowing creeping in as I stood on the roadside of a lonely stretch of Texas highway – my mind drifting; drifting off to far off places I’d yet to visit, but somehow felt deeply connected to.

Fuelled by an insatiable thirst for freedom and adventure, hitching rides from place-to-place had been my life for the past few years. But after hitchhiking from Florida to Alaska, from Canada to Mexico, from California to New York, and everywhere in between, the subtle voice inside that was my faithful guide, my unwavering strength, and my driving force was suddenly whispering words of change.

After weeks spent in perpetual contemplation of these intuitive whisperings, I gradually started to accept that a much loved and known chapter in my life was coming to an end.

With the wind blasting my face with cool air from the dry landscape around me, I became aware of a convoy of trucks rolling my way from the west. As the first truck sped past, I could see colourful scenes of acrobatic performers and exotic animals emblazoned on its side.

A travelling circus, I thought, as nostalgic memories flashed in my head of long forgotten childhood dreams and of fun days out with my family.

Waves of excitement flooded through me as my inner child wishfully mused. But as truck after truck passed by without stopping, the thoughts regretfully faded into nothingness.

When the last truck rolled past and disappeared over the horizon, my mind once again became preoccupied with the lingering sense that the life I had come to know so well was about to change.

What determined this to be the right moment for change to occur? Have I nothing more to learn from this way of life? Has it all become too easy and known for there to be no more significant opportunities for growth? Am I being gently nudged by unseen forces onto the next stage of my developmental path?

Just as I started refocusing my thoughts on the fact that darkness was quickly ebbing away at the remaining daylight and that I’d soon need to find shelter for the night, my attention became fixed on the silhouette of a solitary truck rumbling towards me once again from the west.

“This is it” I said to myself, “I’m determined to get one last lift before I call it quits for the day.”

Holding a single intention in my head, I visualised the driver slowing down, pulling over, and stopping to pick me up. With total concentration and belief, I focused my awareness on this mental imagery and nothing else. And as the truck thundered by me, I held fast to my intent – not wavering for an instant.

Then with what seemed like ages, the truck braked, pulled to the side of the road, and rolled to a complete stop.

“Yes!” I yelled aloud as I dashed with rucksack in hand towards my waiting ride.

Struggling with great awkwardness to get settled into the high cab of the truck, I felt a strong sense of déjà vu. But with barely a second to explore the fleeting familiarity of the situation, the driver’s twangy voice wailed loudly over the growling of the truck’s idling engine, “Howdy, where you headin’?”

“Florida” I said with a tone of indifference (…the state where I grew up, Florida was where I always retreated to when needing respite from my nomadic lifestyle, but the longer I stayed away, and the more I experienced life, the less magnetized was its draw).

“Got anythin’ urgent goin’ on in Florida?” the driver bluntly enquired.

Setting my rucksack down on the muckheap that was the cab’s floor, I said “Nothing urgent as such, just dropping in on family and friends to say hi.” And goodbye – possibly for a very long time, I thought.

“Feel like makin’ some money before headin’ on down the road?” he asked.

Noting I set my bag down in a slimy glob of unidentifiable goo, I made a quick mental calculation of my finances (…two dollars). I then emphatically replied “Does a bear shit in the woods?”

“That’ll be a yes then” he said laughing loudly. “My ol’ man runs this circus, and I own a few gamin’ stalls, but ain’t got enough operators to run ’em all right now. I could put you in charge of one of ’em and pay you twenty five percent of any money you take. How’s that sound?”

“Yeah, sounds great!” I answered. “Thanks for the offer.”

“That’s settled then” he said, “Name’s Ray.”

“Todd” I replied.

After lugging the truck back onto the road with all the grace of a whale wrenching itself from a sandbar at low tide, Ray gave his complete concentration to navigating the truck through the oncoming darkness.

As I watched the truck’s headlights carve an archway of illumination onto the darkened road ahead, my thoughts turned heavily over the days events…

Hundreds of cars passed me by in the space of two hours before Ray finally came along. Most days it takes fifteen…thirty minutes tops to get a ride. What was so different about today?

Was I subliminally sending out the wrong vibe to everyone but Ray? Could it be that on a deeper level of awareness, we sensed one another’s needs, and then through subconscious means – our paths were nudged together as our requirements were so compatible?

What about the other drivers…was the same subtle process influencing them too? Were they subconsciously signalled not to pick me up as a more optimal arrangement had already been harmonized?

And the déjà vu I felt when I climbed into the truck…was it a kind of mystical alarm bell alerting me to the synchronicity behind our meeting?

With drowsiness setting in, and with so many questions filling the interspaces of my mind, I allowed the last vestiges of consciousness to fade and give way to sleep.

It was the weirdest sensation I’ve ever experienced, and believe me, I’ve experienced some seriously weird phenomena during my many years of practising meditation and other expanded states of awareness.

After allowing my mind to drift to the farthest reaches of awareness, and no doubt into unconsciousness, I suddenly became consciously aware of my physical surroundings, and a powerful, enveloping, penetrating force that subdued both mind and body. It was like a great numbing energy radiating around and through me.

I’m not really sure how to class this experience… all I can say is that it was an epoch kind of weirdness that left me feeling as if I’d been raised from the dead!

Does this indicate that aspects of my Higher-Self have an obsessive interest in train-spotting, or is this a narrative or a “sign” to signal – a meeting with self is eminent?

Suffice to say, I will now be better prepared for such encounters in the future, and I’m not talking about data books and anoraks, as I now have a clear association between train stations and Higher-Self that I can use as a trigger for becoming more lucid or consciously aware during my night-time experiences!

Or is it that I’ve jut been watching way too many old Soul Train clips on Youtube;-)

OBE: 15 December, 2009

Sitting at a table

Greys, lots and lots of Greys.  Here’s a wikipedia link if you’re not sure what Greys are.

I was in a very sterile looking environment with quite a few of these Greys, and no twiglets, pasties or anal probes insight, so not your typical intergalactic party atmosphere;-)

Things got a bit fuzzy from that point, though I soon found myself sitting in the rafters of a large garden shed, being held hostage by a rather large arachnid… boy that thing was a creepy kind of freaky!!!

Anyway, these kind of experiences are always fun to muse over, for example, a fully-conscious OBE I had a few years ago, which was seriously off the radar of strangeness, still provokes amusing thoughts now and again.

OBE: 16 September, 2006

After becoming fully-conscious within the experience, I found myself crouched down, hiding behind some crates in a kind of storage room, wondering how I got here, where here was… and why am I hiding?

I then quickly checked my state to see if I was lucid dreaming or out-of-body, and after determining I was OBE, in what appeared to be the first dimension that overlays physical reality, I got back to the business of speculating about the how’s and why’s… because even for an OBE, I could tell something was out of sorts.

Suddenly, I “heard” voices with American accents, and I had an image of an American military base flash through my mind… and then things got really strange!

“He’s in the next room”, said a voice, and then another image flashed through my mind, and a realisation that I was being hunted by physical people who had the means to detect nonphysical people… SHIT… where the HELL am I, and how did I get here???

I then decided enough was enough as I stood up and walked through a wall and straight into the path of 2 physical soldiers, who instantly “saw” me… “there he his” one shouted, as I quickly walked back through the wall I just came through… I don’t know how they can see me I thought, but let’s see them try and walk through walls… but no sooner had I walked through one wall and through the room and then another wall to loose them, another 2 soldiers spotted me, at which point I was getting really spooked, so I thought, right, I’m getting out of here, and I raced down a corridor and through an outside wall… I then made a quick exit through some fences and before finding myself in a wooded area.

Then, thinking I was clear of the base and any danger, a bright light beamed down on me from above my head, and I then found myself back in my physical body, in my bed… but in full paralysis!

I then noticed a small figure standing at the end of my bed, which then suddenly turned and started moving along the side of the bed towards my head, and just as it started to walk past my head, I broke the paralysis just enough to turn my head and watch it go by… at which point a few car alarms started to go off outside on the street.

This experience left me in a place of deep thought for weeks after, but in stead of getting too bogged down by all the questions for which I had no answers.  I just accepted the dawning fact that this multidimensional Universe of ours is far more dynamic than what we give it credit!

And after reading William Buhlman’s thoughts in his most excellent book, ‘The Secret of the Soul’, about the many correlations between OBE and alien abduction phenomena, I could see I didn’t need to jump to any conclusions regarding this experience.

I’m happy not to have all the answers… because it makes the journey more fun and interesting:-)
