OBE, Out-of-Body, Astral Travel and Astral Projection Techniques

Posted on December 13th, 2009

Hi All

Below are some simple OBE/Astral Projection techniques… let me know if you need any clarification or have any questions – just use the ‘leave a comment’ feature at the bottom of this post and I’ll reply as soon as I can.

Enjoy…

1. Set the intention to have an out-of-body experience – read a chapter of a book on the subject before bedtime; this serves as a powerful intention that says “this is what I want to experience”, or repeat affirmations while falling asleep “tonight I will have a conscious OBE”
2. Interupt your normal sleeping pattern – set your alarm to wake you up at 4am then read about OBEs for 30-minutes before lying back down and focusing your thoughts away from your physical body (in the first-person, visualise yourself walking around your home and observing objects or imagine being at your favourite holiday destination)
3. Practice deep meditation with the goal of learning how to totally relax your physical body to the point to where it falls to sleep (limbs become heavy and difficult to move), while your mind remains awake and active (in this body asleep/mind awake state, you can then focus your thoughts away from your physical body as per tip two and then incorporate affirmations into the routine “now I am out-of-body” or “now I shift my conscious awareness to my energy body”
4. Practice what lucid dreamers call ’state testing’ throughout your normal waking day by saying “am I awake, dreaming or out-of-body right now” then check your state of reality by doing something simple, like looking at your hands and using your thoughts to try to change them in some way… do this 10 to 20 times daily and eventually you will naturally start doing this during your night time experiences too, and when you try to change your hands in some way during these experiences – they will change and you will then become “aware”, and that’s when things will get interesting, whether you become aware during a lucid dream or an OBE
5. Keep a journal – write everything down, dreams including fragments of dreams, visions while meditating, out-of-body experiences, because journaling about your experiences acts as a powerful intention, with writing down your experiences you’re saying “I desire to have more experiences”
