Ghost hunters should throw out their ghost hunting gadgets in favour of out-of-body exploration…
Posted on August 13th, 2009
Since inducing my first self-initiated out-of-body experience more than two years ago, I’ve had many run ins with nonphysical humans, or ghosts as they’re more affectionately known, not all of which were pleasant experiences.
During one particular active week of out-of-body exploration, I bumped into a total of six nonphysical humans, all casually hanging around my house, and had several strange events during waking hours where physical objects were being influenced by nonphysical means… one of these physical manifestations saw a hanging light fixture being manipulated quite violently for a period of about 30-seconds.
Having these first-hand encounters has radically changed my perspective of ghosts and other related paranormal phenomena such as hauntings, and the poltergeist type activity mentioned above.
From this new vantage point, I now view the world around me in a totally different way. And same as the prominent out-of-body explorer and researcher William Buhlman, I no longer have a sense of privacy while in my own home… though I don’t let this change the way I live my life, it’s more a matter of adjusting my mindset to allow for the reality of life in the multidimensional Universe.
Anyone else out there have any interesting ghost stories to tell – whether in our out of body?

Can OBE/Astral Projection be a by-product of doing energy work?
Posted on August 13th, 2009
I’ve noticed a strong correlation between doing energy work and enjoying more OBE/Astral Projection activity… just wondering if anyone else has experienced similar results?
Typically, when I do just 20-30 minutes of focused breathing prior to doing an OBE/Astral Projection session, I achieve more results than if I don’t do any focused breathing before a session.
Obviously, one of the reasons I get more results when doing energy work is because energy work is highly conductive to generating a deeply relaxed state, which is an absolute MUST for achieving expanded states of awareness such as OBE/Astral Projection.
And I think behind the scenes, the major energy centres (chakras) of the first nonphysical body, which is one of the vehicles of consciousness we use during out-of-body/astral travel experiences, are being greatly stimulated during this type of energy work.
The more research I do on energy work, the more convinced I am that balancing and unblocking the energy centres and the conduits that connect our physical bodies and nonphysical bodies (and further connecting to our spiritual source), is absolutely essential to achieving profound states of awareness.
Personally, I see OBE/Astral Projection as a major tool for experiencing the Earth-Life-System as a whole, and therefore, a means to better understanding the Human Experience and the true nature of our existence – while still in physical form!

Thought I’d share my thoughts on one of my favourite out-of-body techniques…
Posted on August 13th, 2009
The good ol’ rope technique, netted me a cluster of 3 OBEs in one sitting the other morning… to say I was in astral heaven was an understatement;-)
I originally came across this technique in William Buhlman’s excellent books, ‘Adventures Beyond the Body’ and ‘Secret of the Soul’ a few years ago, but it wasn’t till reading Robert Bruce’s meaty description of this technique in his volumous book – ‘Astral Dynamics’ that I finally decided to try it.
After waking at 5am (got about 6 hours sleep), I did my usual OBE routine… quenched my thirst with a little water, ate a few morsels of Green & Blacks 85% chocolate (Mmm…), read about OBE for an hour (Bruce’s, Astral Dynamics), emptied my bladder, got relaxed on couch listening to a special 3-hour cut version of the Monroe Institutes, ‘Gateway Experience’ CD number 18 then did 30-minutes of focused breathing before achieving a deep trance state. Once in the deep trance state, I utilised Bruce’s ‘bounce loosening’ technique followed by his version of the rope technique.
After a few mental tweaks, and after dipping in and out of consciousness several times, strong vibrations ripped through me… after which, I enjoyed a cluster of 3 wonderful OBEs!
Instead of trying to give justice to describing Bruce’s rope technique, I found this link with the full description along with the bounce loosening info…
Hope this is useful to any OBE/Astral Projection newbies out there.

A helping hand out of my body…
Posted on August 13th, 2009
Just thought I’d share my first ever, conscious out-of-body experience that took place a few years ago.
After contracting a nasty rash on my arms and legs from coming into contact with poison ivy in some local woods, I found it extremely difficult to sleep for a period of about a week(…itch, itch… scratch, scratch).
Well, one night in particular the itching was totally unbearable, so I went downstairs (around 3am), covered myself in calamine lotion then laid down on the couch in the lounge for a wee spell.
After about an hour or so of trying to focus my mind on relaxing, I must have finally lost consciousness – then, suddenly, I was shocked back into waking consciousness by extremely strong vibrations ripping through my whole body.
After reading and practicing out-of-body theory and techniques throughout the preceding year, I was instantly aware the vibrations I was experiencing could only be the vibrations I’d been studying about during this time period. As such, I immediately tried to separate from my physical body by sitting up, but due to getting too excited, the vibrations started to loose strength and fade. To say I was disappointed would be an immense understatement.
However, soon after composing myself, I started to see some interesting light phenomenon through my closed eyelids, which was immediately followed up by strong vibrations that again, coursed through my entire body… then, suddenly, I was surrounded by white light with a hand reaching out to me…
After reaching for the hand, I was lifted out of my body for a very brief moment until, again, my excitement got the better of me, and then slipped back into my physical body.
This experience taught me many things, but two things in particular were vital in helping me follow this first experience up with my first self-initiated experiences…
- I learned to keep my excitement in check (fear is another barrier that needs to be controlled)
- That sleep interruption can be very useful during initial, self-initiated out-of-body sessions
I also learned that a helping hand can also be useful in getting some action;-)
Very keen to hear if anyone else has had assistance from nonphysical helpers during planned or spontaneous out-of-body activity…

Where did the writer of the movie ‘Ghost’ get his inspiration?
Posted on August 12th, 2009
Since having my first OBE, I can no longer watch the movie Ghost without wondering – where did Bruce Joel Rubin get his inspiration for writing Ghost!
Is Mr Rubin a regular explorer in the multidimensional Universe?
Who knows…
Here are a few of my favourite scenes from the movie spliced together… the ghost on the train who’s able to manipulate physical reality – fantastic stuff!
Sorry about the German;-)

Astral projection and out-of-body experience… they both refer to the same thing, but yet, these terms seem to resonate differently with people.
Me for example… for some reason, the terms astral projection and astral travel don’t do anything for me – they just don’t push the right buttons!
However, you say… out-of-body, and hey, presto!
I suppose like anything in life, it’s what you’re brought up with, or put another way… what you’re first conditioned with;-)

A blogging we will go, a blogging we will go…
Posted on August 12th, 2009
Hi All
Well, here we are, the very first post on the new Journey of Truth Blog!
Great, let’s get straight down to talking about expanded states of awarenss, such as the out-of-body state…
This weekend I’m hoping to take 5 volunteers on a life changing test run of the new and improved format of the 24-Hour Ultimate out-of-body Training and Exploration Workshop.
The new and improved format benefits from a sleep period and 2 vital energy work meditations that will provide an enormous energy boost for the OBE exploration sessions as well as provide a soothing and relaxing aspect to the workshop experience.
Exciting stuff, aye!
Anyway, if the weekend does go ahead as hoped, I’ll be sure to post blog updates every few hours, and I’ll ask the volunteers to post details of any out-of-body experiences they have.
Well, there you have it… the very first post on the new Journey of Truth Blog!
Happiness
Todd
